Volunteering

Bury Deaf Society is run by our manager Robert Quayle together with trustees and a number of volunteers. Volunteering is both rewarding and satisfying, though the gains of course are not financial and rely on you being motivated to give time to others, make a difference, and become directly involved with your community.

Our board of trustees is made up of a number of people who are passionate about meeting the needs of deaf and hearing impaired people. This is who they are:

In addition to our trustees, we have many volunteers who help us out in a multitude of ways, for example with our classes, administration, planning future activities, our website, looking after the upkeep of our society premises.
